Bhubaneswar: Nearly two months after train services were suspended across India, a special train will leave Bhubaneswar railway station for New Delhi at 10 am on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, East Coast Railway (ECoR) had urged passengers to arrive on platform no. 1 from Master Canteen side at least 90 minutes before the departure of the train. “Only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the platform. All passengers will have to clear medical screening before being allowed to board the train. Only asymptomatic passengers will be permitted to travel,” it had said.
Only a limited variety of eatables and packaged drinking water will be available for purchase inside the train. Passengers have to carry their own food. Bedroll and linen will not be provided inside the train. Passengers have to carry their own bed-sheets, the ECoR said in a press release.
They also have to carry their own face cover/hand sanitisers/soaps etc for hygiene and safety reasons. Passengers have been advised to carry less baggage as attendants/porter facilities may not be available at the stations.
