Bhubaneswar: Two days after the death of Congress leader Ajit Mangaraj, his mother Khetramani succumbed to COVID-19 on Friday night.
Mangaraj, the Congress candidate for bypoll to Pipili Assembly constituency, had breathed his last on Wednesday, four days after contracting the infection.
According to sources, Khetramani had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital even before Mangaraj tested positive for the virus.
She passed away at around 11.30 pm. She was also suffering from asthma, the sources added.
Meanwhile, Odisha reported four COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours. One death each has been reported from Balagir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Kalahandi.
