Mumbai: After the first teaser of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ was unveiled on Sunday, filmmaker Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note for the star kid and also confirmed his cameo in the series.
On Monday, Netflix shared adorable pictures of baby Aryan’s cameo in KJo’s 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (K3G) and wrote, “Going back in time to tell baby @___aryan___ that he’s now a director.”
As a child, Aryan played the young version of Shah Rukh Khan’s character Rahul Raichand in one of the scenes in K3G.
Recalling holding Aryan in his arms while shooting K3G, Karan shared that he is overjoyed to be directed by the same child in his directorial debut.
Confirming his cameo in ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’, KJo wrote on X, “Aryan! From holding you in my arms to being directed by you…. My heart is full!”
Resharing Netflix’s post on his Instagram stories, KJo called Aryan his ‘first born from heart’ and expressed, “My first burst of parental love… Aryan is my first born from my heart and am so proud of his sincerity! His relentless hard work and how his mind works with mainstream masala and cool narrative energy in equal measure… #badsofbollywood is on its way…hope you’re ready for this mega ride!”
Reacting to the throwback pictures, Shalini Passi dropped heart-eyed emojis and wrote, “too cute !!!”
Earlier, resharing the first look of Aryan’s ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ on his Instagram stories, Karan wrote, “ARYAN!!!! LOVE YOU!!! This is going to smash all records! I am proud of you.”
In the next story, he added, “So proud to see our boy shine as the leading man in this incredible series!!! The red carpet is ready @lakshya ! Go KILL it!!!”
On Saturday, Shah Rukh hosted an ‘Ask SRK’ session on X, during which he confirmed his cameo in his son’s directorial debut.
“Lots of lovely friends from the industry have participated in Aryan’s series. They have been very very gracious and loving to him. Main toh hun hi…Haq se!” SRK shared.
The preview of ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ will be out on August 20.
