Bhubaneswar: After the State Transport Authority (STA) in Odisha, it’s the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The civic body’s latest cleanliness campaign uses superstar Allu Arjun’s character Pushpa Raj to drive home the importance of not throwing garbage outside and putting it in a dustbin. The campaign poster has a photo of Pushpa Raj and carries the dialogue, “Din Ho Ya Raat, Main Kachra Bahar Phekega Nahi”, imitating the superstar’s dialogues from the movie.
Last month, the STA in Odisha launched a road safety campaign against helmet-less riders with a meme of Pushpa Raj.
The campaign, that urges bike riders to always wear helmet, shows Allu Arjun’s character riding a bike without helmet. It then goes on to warn helmetless riders in Odisha that whether you are — #Pushpa or #PushpaRaj rule is same for all. You will have to pay fine.
