Mumbai: Yusuf Pathan has tested positive for COVID-19.
The former Team India all-rounder, who announced retirement last month, tweeted: “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required.”
He urged those who came in contact with him to get tested at the earliest.
Earlier in the day, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar also revealed that he had been infected with coronavirus.
Interestingly, both Sachin and Yusuf played in the Road Safety World Series Challenge veterans’ tournament in Raipur recently. Both played a part in the Indian veterans’ 14-run victory over Sri Lankan veterans in the final on March 21.
