Bhubaneswar: Taking disciplinary action, the Odisha government on Tuesday suspended Cuttack deputy collector (revenue) and former tehsildar of Begunia Bibekananda Parida.
“In exercise of his powers, Governor Ganeshi Lal put the OAS officer under suspension with immediate effect,” read the order issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
During the period of suspension, the headquarters of Bibekananda Parida is fixed at the office of the Cuttack Sub-Collector and Parida will not leave the headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the Sub-Collector. He is entitled to payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule-90 of Odisha Service Code, it added.
On October 7, Parida, who was then serving as Begunia tehsildar, was transferred and posted as the deputy collector (revenue), Cuttack.
