After Trump Tests COVID Positive, No More Bets On Presidential Election

London: Betting on next month’s US elections are on hold after President Donald Trump tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

UK’s biggest bookmakers Ladbrokes and William Hill have said they would pause all wagers on the outcome of US election in November until more information is available on the President’s health condition, CNN Business reported.

“This is standard procedure and we wish Donald and Melania Trump well,” Ladbrokes said in a statement.

Ladbrokes had paused betting on different aspects after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson contracted the deadly virus in March.

Trump has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
