Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw nine fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday.
Of them, two cases are from quarantine and seven local contacts.
The local contact cases include one each from Jharpada, Rasulgarh, Unit-9, Master Canteen, Old Town, Khandagiri, and Patrapada.
With this, the city’s affected tally has touched 32,086. The virus has so far claimed 250 lives while 31,731 patients have recovered from the infection. Bhubaneswar now has 84 active cases.
Earlier in the day, the I & PR department informed about Khurda reporting nine new cases. The BMC’s tweet in the afternoon confirmed that all the new patients are from Bhubaneswar.
On Saturday, Bhubaneswar’s new cases tally of seven was that of Khurda too.
