Boudh: A senior Agriculture officer of Odisha’s Boudh district died while a peon and the driver were seriously injured in a road accident late on Thursday night.
According to reports, deputy director, Agriculture of Boudh district, Manoranjan Mohanty had gone to Bhubaneswar for an official duty with a peon of his office in a government vehicle. On their return to Boudh, the driver lost control of the vehicle near Radhanagar on National Highway-57 which skidded off the road and overturned.
While Mallick died on the spot, the peon and the driver were seriously injured. The incident took place between 2 AM and 3 AM.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to the Boudh district headquarters hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
The body of Mallick was taken to the district headquarters hospital where the post-mortem will be conducted on Thursday.
