It may be noted that the institute has got the approval of the Union Health Ministry to have a 100-bed ICU.
Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in the city got a boost to its health care facilities as 120 more beds were added to the present provision.
Director of the prestigious medical institute Geetanjali Bartamanbane said at present, they have a provision of 975 beds for the patients. Of the new beds, four will be allotted to the Special Newborn Care unit.
The rest beds will be provided to the wards as per their need and urgency, she said.
