Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Scinces (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar has been placed among top 20 medical colleges in the country in India Today survey 2022.
The AIIMS has been ranked 20 in the Medical category in the survey that was conducted by India Today in association with the reputed market research agency Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA). The Bhubaneswar institute was selected on the basis of five broad parameters including ‘Intake Quality and Governance’, ‘Academic Excellence’, ‘Infrastructure and Living Experience’, ‘Personality and Leadership Development’ and ‘Career Progression and Placement’.
The survey has also adjudged AIIMS-Bhubaneswar in 2nd rank among top 10 emerging/highest-scoring colleges set up in or after 2000. It has been ranked 4 among government colleges with the lowest fees.
Last year, this survey had ranked the Institute at 25th position. Notably, AIIMS-New Delhi has been ranked 1st in the latest survey.
Prof Mukesh Tripathi, Director, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar congratulated all the stakeholders for the ranking. AIIMS has now become a symbol of trust in the country for its overall performance, he said.
From infrastructure development to training, treatment and research, the medical institute has been performing excellently in every sector, said Medical Superintendent Dr Sachidananda Mohanty. Dean Dr Debashish Hota and registrar BB Mishra have also congratulated all on the occasion.
