New Delhi: A resident doctor in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has tested positive for coronavirus, media reports said. His wife, also a doctor at AIIMS who is 9 months pregnant, also tested positive.
The resident doctor said he attended a farewell ceremony at work. Rigorous contact tracing is on now. With this, eight doctors in Delhi have contracted the highly contagious virus.
The doctor, who belongs to the Physiology Department, has been admitted to the new private ward for further evaluation and multiple testing. His family will also be screened, NDTV reported quoting sources.
