Bhubaneswar: Results of the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research) Entrance test results will be simultaneously announced on June 18.
The AIIMS MBBS Entrance results will be announced at 6 pm on its official website www.aiimsexams.org, sources in the AIIMS examination cell said.
More than 2 lakh students had appeared for the AIIMS online Entrance test, conducted by the AIIMS-New Delhi, in 155 cities across the country of which about 36,000 students from Odisha had taken the test in different centres in Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Balasore, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Rourkela and Sambalpur.
The entrance test was conducted on May 26 and 27 in two shifts.
The examination was held for admission to a total of 807 MBBS seats in nine AIIMS in New Delhi, Jodhpur, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Rishikesh, Bhopal, Nagpur and Guntur.
Besides, results of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST 2018), conducted on June 2, will also be announced on June 18.
The results to be announced at 12 pm will be available on www.nestexam.in
The NEST was held in 109 centres across the country, including 13 centres in Odisha viz, Angul, Balasore, Bargarh, Baripada, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Rayagada, Rourkela and Sambalpur.
This test was held for admission in 5-year integrated MSc programmes at NISER (National Institute of Science Education & Research), Bhubaneswar, and UM-DAE CEBS (University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences), Mumbai.
Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by the DAE in 2007 to train scientific manpower to carry out cutting-edge research and provide input to scientific programmes of the DAE and other applied science institutions in the country.
