Bhubaneswar: The Satellite Centre of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Balasore is all set to get operational from this month.
Services at the Out-Patient Department (OPD) of the hospital will be started in first phase, said Dr Mukesh Tripathi, Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
Later, the 300-bed facility will get functional, he added.
The satellite centre of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has been built on 25 acres. The OPD will be open six days a week.
While Rs 35.76 crore was sanctioned for the OPD building, staff quarters through the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). Rs 2.5 crore was sanctioned for medical equipment and instruments.
