New Delhi: In view of the looming coronavirus threat, the OPD services at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and all centres have been shut down till further notice.
Earlier, AIIMS-New Delhi had decided to temporarily close routine walk-in OPD’s patients’ registrations from March 23 and postpone all non-essential elective procedures and surgeries with manpower and resources diverted to fight the deadly virus.
The AIIMS building in Haryana’s Jhajjar will be used exclusively to treat COVID-19 patients, ICMR Director-General Balram Bhargava had said on Sunday.
The Benaras Hindu University (BHU) has postponed the OPDs of Sir Sunderlal Hospital from March 23 till further orders.
