Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday withdrew laboratory and investigation charges upto ₹300 at all its centres including Bhubaneswar.
In a circular, issued on the day, medical superintendent, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr DK Sharma said the user fees for all laboratory procedures upto the amount have been abolished with immediate effect.
“The undersigned is directed to notify that president, AIIMS is pleased to approve abolition of user charges for all investigations/laboratory charges currently costing upto ₹300 per procedure in AIIMS hospital and all centres, with immediate effect,” the Hindustan Times quoted the circular as stating.
