Ailing Mother Of Martyred CRPF Jawan From Odisha Dies

Bhubaneswar: Barely a week after a CRPF jawan from Odisha’s Keonjhar district was killed in Maoist attack in Jharkhand, his mother died following serious illness on Friday.

According to sources, martyred CRPF jawan Sushant Khuntia’s mother Sundari Khuntia suffered from serious illness following her son’s death. She died while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Notably, Sundari had received felicitation for the martyred jawan during the Independence Day celebration at Anandapur on August 15.

Her family members said that the woman, who was in a state of shock, had stopped taking food ever since her son died in Jharkhand. As her condition deteriorated, she was admitted to the Sub Divisional Hospital at Anandpur. The treating doctors later referred her to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack where she breathed her last.

It may be noted here that Sushant Khuntia was killed in an attack by Maoists in Jharkhand on August 11.
