Sweden: An Air India flight carrying more than 180 people met with a minor accident at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. The tip of the plane’s left wing got stuck on a building wall, partially destroying it.
The Boeing flight from New Delhi hit the building at around 5:45 pm on Wednesday at the Stockholm. The passengers then disembarked from the plane using a mobile staircase and entered the terminal thereafter.
The accident took place about 50 meters from Terminal 5, the main terminal from international flights. Fire trucks were rushed to the spot. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
The incident came days after a Dubai-bound Air India flight with 136 passengers had an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport after hitting a perimeter wall during take-off at Tiruchirapally Airport.
