Air India Express Flight From Kannur To Jeddah Forced To Return After Mid-Air Technical Glitch



 

New Delhi: An Air India Express flight traveling from Kannur in Kera


la to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia was forced to make an emergency return to its departure airport on Tuesday morning after the crew discovered a technical problem mid-flight.

The aircraft  with more than 180 passengers onboard lifted off from Kannur International Airport at approximately 7:40 AM, beginning its international journey to Saudi Arabia. However, nearly two hours into the flight, while the plane was already en route over international waters, the pilots suddenly detected a technical snag that raised serious safety concerns.

Following standard aviation safety procedures, the pilots decided to turn the aircraft around and navigated it back toward Kannur rather than continue the international flight.
