New Delhi: Air India (AI) has decided to serve special low-fat diet meals for its crew members, including pilots.
“Taking into consideration the health factor of crew members, the Director (Operations) has taken an initiative to revise the in-flight food menu for them. In view of the above, a special low-fat diet meal for the crew has been worked out on a day-wise basis to provide light and healthy meal with a home (Indian) touch,” NDTV quoted an AI statement as saying.
It further stated, “As per the GM catering, the changed menu will be initially introduced only on ex-Delhi/Mumbai flights on all domestic and international flights.”
The initiative comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “Fit India”’ movement.
