Bhubaneswar: The Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to ‘poor’ in Angul and Baripada towns of Odisha on Saturday.
According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Angul recorded ‘poor’ air quality with an AQI value of 232 with PM2.5 being the major pollutant found. It was followed by Baripada with index value of 228.
Following is the rating of air quality as per AQI:
Balasore recorded index value of 116, Barbil 156, Bhubaneswar 115, Brajrajnagar 129, Cuttack 106, Keonjhar 116, Nayagarh 124, Rairangpur 107, and Rourkela 162. These places had air quality of ‘moderate’ value as per the index.
