Malkangiri: A portion of the boundary wall of the airport in Odisha’s Malkangiri collapsed under the impact of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
As per preliminary information, a portion of the boundary wall caved in after heavy rain coupled with thunderstorm lashed the area on Friday night.
After the incident came to light on Saturday morning, the authorities concerned were informed. Officials reportedly visited the site to take stock of the situation and take appropriate steps.
Local residents alleged that the incident took place due to the substandard construction work.
