Bhubaneswar: The former Odia newsreader on All India Radio Upendra Kumar Pahadsingh passed away on Tuesday.
He died at Max Hospital in Delhi following a cardiac arrest around 4 pm today.
“My father was undergoing treatment in the ICU of Max Hospital for more than a month after he developed hypoglacemia as his sugar level went down alarmingly. While undergoing treatment, he developed other complications which further aggravated his health,” said his son Dilip Pahadsingh.
The news came as a shock for lakhs of fans of the voice of Odisha who was suffering from age related issues for the last few years. He was in his late 80s and residing in AIR residential apartments at Delhi with his wife.
The mesmerising voice has fallen silent forever.
