Bhubaneswar: Bharti Airtel on Thursday announced the launch of its cutting-edge 5G services in Angul, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Balasore. The service is already available in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela and Puri.
Airtel 5G Plus services will be available in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network, a release said, adding that customers with 5 G-enabled devices will enjoy the high-speed network at no extra cost until the rollout is more widespread.
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Angul, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Balasore in addition to Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela and Puri. Airtel customers in these eight cities can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up entire cities which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more,” said CEO – Odisha, Bihar & Jharkhand, Bharti Airtel Anupam Arora said.

While the service is available at some specific locations in these cities, the company plans to augment its network in due course of time, extending it to other places.
Similarly, Jio users across 13 cities in Odisha are now enjoying Jio True 5G services. The service, which was initially available in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, Rourkela and Berhampur, was extended to Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri and Sambalpur on January 24. The service was made available in Balangir and NALCO in Angul district on January 31 and at Talcher on February 7.
