New Delhi: Bharti Airtel will increase its mobile tariffs starting July 3. The company in a statement said that it is necessary to maintain an Average Revenue per User (ARPU) above Rs 300 to ensure a financially healthy business. This increase will help them invest in better network technology and spectrum. Airtel has made sure that the price hike is small, less than 70 paise per day, especially for entry-level plans to avoid burdening budget-conscious customers. Notably, Reliance Jio has also increased the price of its prepaid and postpaid plans. The price hike will also go into effect from July 3.
