On 9th April 2023, AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar conducted a CME & Workshop on “Airway Management”.
Bhubaneswar: Airway management has become a crucial part of medical care and all doctors should keep themselves update with its application, said medical experts on Monday.
They were speaking at continuing medical education (CME)-cum-workshop organized by Anaesthesia department of AMRI Hospitals in Bhubaneswar in association with I & A city branch.
The workshop targeted young doctors practising anaesthesia, critical care medicine and emergency medicine. Around 100 doctors from across Odisha attended the workshop where senior faculties from different health facilities delivered their speeches.
All delegates had exposure to airway management and got their doubts cleared at the workshop which was addressed by organising chairman Dr Swarnamayee Satpathy, co-organising secretaries Dr Krishna Pradhan and Dr Chandrasekhar Pradhan and workshop coordinator Dr Bhagya Ranjan Jena.
Apart from all usual means of airway management, airway ultrasound and simulation in airway was done. As airway ultrasound has now become gold standard in airway management, said Dr Sidharth Mohanty.
“Now simulation of airway management has become talk of the town. So junior doctors as well as practising doctors should brush up their skills in order to keep up with fast changing technology,” said Dr Surya Kumar Dubey.
“Airway Management is crucial part of medical care and hence regular CME programmes should be conducted regularly throughout the country,” said Scientific Advisor Dr BN Mishra.
If you sweat more in training then you bleed less in war. It is not just a saying. It is what we practise at AMRI, Bhubaneswar. Frequent CME & workshops improve knowledge and skill of our doctors and paramedical staff. Hence we are keen on conducting this type of programmes in future,” said Rajashree Upadhyay, HR Head, AMRI Bhubaneswar.
