Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and filmmaker R Balki shot outdoors for a government-certified advertisement on Tuesday amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
The ad aims to promote awareness about post-lockdown responsibilities of citizens to ensure all safety measures are followed.
The shooting itself was carried out following social distancing norms with limited crew members. “This is an ad for the health ministry about our post -ockdown responsibilities. We need to get back to work but ensure our safety and those of others. So, at our shoot, we did the same,” R Balki was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
Here are some visuals from the set:
“With social distancing, sanitised outdoor set, disinfectant screen, masks and more, we got used to the shooting with precautions in a few minutes. Despite minimal crew and very strict protocols, we found we can do it quite easily,” the director further told The Indian Express.
The duo, who earlier worked together in movies like Mission Mangal and Padman, have become first in the industry to do an outdoor shooting during coronavirus crisis.
