Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has been finalized by Dhoom 4 makers to play the negative role after John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan.
Yash Raj Films on Thursday confirmed the news, which has been doing the rounds since February this year after Bollywood analyst Atul Mohan tweeted about Akshay being confirmed for the movie.
“This film will be India’s biggest action film with biggest action star,” it tweeted.
The film, which will also star Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Amisha Patel and Uday Chopra, is slated to be released in 2022.
Makers of the film had reportedly approached Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, and even Salman Khan for the role of the antagonist this time, before finalising on Akshay.
