Mumbai: After ‘Bhooth Bangla’, Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan are all set to return with their suspense thriller ‘Haiwaan’.
The makers have announced the film’s theatrical release date, giving fans a timeline for one of the year’s most-anticipated collaborations.
“With an exciting combination of powe
rhouse talent in front of and behind the camera, Haiwaan is poised to be one of the biggest theatrical events of 2026. The film is all set to release theatrically on 11th September 2026,” the makers revealed.
The film also features Saif Ali Khan in a lead role, along with Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher in supporting roles.
While revealing the film’s title, HT City had earlier reported: “The team felt this title describes their subject the best, and conveys exactly how Priyadarshan sees it- as an edge of the seat thriller. There were other titles in contention, but this one clicked unanimously, given the characters the lead actors play.”
At present, Akshay is riding high on the success of his latest film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, which has opened to more than Rs 18 crore at the domestic box office alone.
The film also stars Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Johnny Lever, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, among others.
