Mumbai: As Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’ crossed the Rs 200-crore mark worldwide, the makers announced a buy-one-get-one ticket offer in its second week in theatres.
On Tuesday, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, one of the producers of ‘Bhooth Bangla’, announced that ticket sales under the new offer is now open.
“Why witness the madness alone when you can double it?” the production house wrote, while announcing that the offer code ‘BHOOTHBANGLA’ can be used while booking tickets on BookMyShow platform.
“Iss Bangle mein entry solo nahi milti… plus one zaroori hai (Entry in this bungalow is forbidden for one, a plus one is mandatory). Buy 1 ticket and get 1 free on @bookmyshow. Offer live now!” the makers announced.
The offer, which started on Tuesday, will run until May 3. It appears to have worked, as ‘Bhooth Bangla’ saw improved collections and increased theatre occupancy on Tuesday.

According to trade website Sacnilk, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ recorded around 15% occupancy on Tuesday, earning Rs 4.35 crore, an improvement from Monday’s 11% occupancy and Rs 3.50 crore collection.
The film has collected Rs 121.25 crore net in India so far and Rs 195.08 crore worldwide as of Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the makers announced that its global gross has now reached Rs 203.65 crore.
Despite facing competition from ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which hit theatres on March 19, and ‘Michael’, which was released on April 24, the film has managed to hold steady at the box office.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is produced by Akshay Kumar, Ekta Kapoor, and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.
The cast includes Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
