Puri: The district administration of Puri on Thursday sealed the building of Akshaya Patra Foundation near Mausi Maa temple along the Grand Road for violation of curfew norms on Rath Yatra day.
Puri sub-district magistrate and tehsildar sealed the building till further orders.
According to a complaint, some people stood on the roof and balcony of the building and saw the Rath procession on July 12.
Puri sub-collector Bhabataran Sahu said on receiving a complain that the foundation had accommodated devotees from outside Odisha in violation of prohibitory orders passed by the administration during Gundicha Yatra, the video footage of the incident was verified and allegations were found to be true. The action was taken accordingly.
Yesterday, the administration had sealed Ganga lodge along the Bada Danda for violation of curfew norms.
