Puri: Here’s more good news for the Jagannath devotees. Alarnath temple in Puri district will reopen from December 23, said Brahmagiri tehsildar. Baliharachandi temple will also open on the day.
The two popular shrines of the district were closed due to COVID-19.
Decision on reopening of the shrines was taken by the local administration. However, the temples will remain shut on December 25, 31 and New Year day to avoid rush, the tehsildar added.
Earlier in the day, the Puri district administration had issued guidelines and SOPs for visit to the Jagannath Temple.
