Aligarh Murder Accused Earlier Raped His Daughter: Police

Aligarh: One of the men accused in the gruesome murder of a two-year-old in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh had raped his own daughter five years ago and had been bailed out by his wife, NDTV quoted the police as saying.

The man and an accomplice killed a two-year-old in Aligarh over a loan dispute with her grandfather, the police have said.

Last Sunday, Aligarh woke up to the ghastly sight of stray dogs pulling at human body parts from a garbage dump. Later, the trail led to the mutilated body of a two-year-old girl who had been missing since May 30.

The case made national headlines after celebrities, politicians and others tweeted about it with a hashtag using her name. The law prevents the media from reporting her name as well as that of the accused who raped his daughter to protect her identity.
