Paralakhemundi: The Gajapati district administration has imposed lockdown in all block headquarters, 11 panchayats and two urban local bodies considering the COVID-19 situation.
In an official order, district Collector Anupam Shah said in order the contain the spread of coronavirus, the lockdown has been imposed in the block headquarters, Paralakhemundi Municipality and Kashinagar NAC.
Besides, Kerandi and Katalakaitha panchayats in Gosani block, Renipentha and Hadubangi panchayats of Kashinagar block, Arshyagada and Jhami panchayats of Gumma block, Kardasing and Narayanpur panchayats of Rayagada block, K. Jhalasing panchayat of Nuagada block, Sabarapalli panchayat of R Udayagiri block and Pindiki panchayat of Mohana block have been brought under lockdown, the order said.
The lockdown will remain in force from 5 am of July 20 to midnight of July 31.
