Bhubaneswar: A meeting of the Odisha Cabinet is scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to take up a host of important matters for discussion and decision.
According to sources, the meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, is slated to be held around 11.30 am in Lok Seva Bhawan in the state capital.
This will be the second meeting of the state Cabinet after the BJP government headed by Majhi assumed office. The first Cabinet meeting was held shortly after the BJP ministry took oath last month.
Several key proposals relating to promises made in BJP’s election manifesto are likely to be discussed and approved in the second Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Proposals relating to the welfare of farmers, empowerment of women and measures for employment generation are likely to be taken up at the meeting, sources said.
