Cuttack: Odisha won two bronze medals in boys’ category and a silver in girls’ category in Wushu on the third day of the All India Police Judo Cluster being held in the Millennium City.
Bimal and Bikram of Odisha bagged bronze medals in 56 kg and 65 kg respectively. Barsa from Odisha clinched silver in the 45 kg category.
In the team championship, Odisha won silver with three points.
Competitions in various categories of Wushu, Judo and Taekwondo event were organised at JN Indoor Stadium and Sachin Tendulkar Indoor Hall here on Saturday.
Additional DG of Police BN Jha and Addl DG of Police, HRPC, Mahendra Pratap inaugurated the events at JN Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.
The results in ‘Wushu’ have been decided in 11 weight categories among men and eight weight categories among women.
The medal were awarded in a ceremony at Sachin Tendulkar Indoor Hall at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
Transport Commissioner, Odisha, Sanjeeb Panda and IGP, CR, Sanjeeb Panda gave away the medals to the winners.
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) won the height number of medals both in men and women category in Wushu and was declared the champion.
ADGP-cum-Organising Secretary Binyatosh Mishra and Sports Officer Bibhuti Bhusan Parida were also present.
