Bhubaneswar: Director General of Police (DGP) Dr RP Sharma has congratulated woman constable Minati Das of the Odisha Police who bagged silver medal in weightlifting event on the second day of the 67th All India Police Wrestling Cluster, 2019 at Jaipur in Rajasthan on Thursday.
Minati bagged the silver in the 45-kg category and lifted a total of 112 kg including 47 kg in the clean and 65 kg in the jerk.
Das, who works in the Berhampur Police District, is undergoing basic training programme at the Police Training College, at Nayagarh.
The five-day event is organised by the Rajasthan Police will be concluded on March 3.
