Mumbai: A day after being admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Mumbai, Filmmaker Subhash Ghai shared his health update with fans on Sunday afternoon.
“I feel so blessed to know that I’ve so many friends expressing their love n affection for my health. after my hectic stint at IFFI goa. ALL IS WELL NOW n see u soon. SMILE AGAIN. thank you,” he posted on X.
The filmmaker was admitted to the ICU on Saturday with complaints of difficulty in speaking, confusion and memory loss since one day, the IANS reported, quoting hospital sources.
He was under the care of a dedicated team of specialists, including neurologist Dr Vijay Chaudhary, cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale, and pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar.
Ghai’s representative, however, said the 79-year-old director was admitted for a routine check-up. “We would like to confirm that Subhash Ghai is absolutely fine. He has been admitted for a routine check-up and is doing well. Thank you all for your love and concern,” the statement said.
Last month, Ghai, who has directed films like Ram Lakhan, Taal and Saudagar, launched his memoir titled “Karma’s Child” co-written by journalist and author Suveen Sinha.
