Bhubaneswar: Honda on Wednesday launched a new generation of its iconic Honda City sedan. For the first time, Honda will be selling the fourth-generation City along side the new one. Here are the prices of the new Honda City in Bhubaneswar:
Visually, the company has made some changes such as L-shaped LED indicators, a reworked chrome finished grill, full LED headlamps with DRL, new 16-inch alloys and Z-shaped 3D wrap-around LED tail lamps. With a length of 4549 mm and width of 1748 mm, it is both wider and longer by 53 mm and 109 mm respectively compared to the fourth-generation car.
The interiors get premium leather seats, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital display for the instrument cluster, remote engine start for CVT variant only, ambient lighting, sunroof, auto headlamps and follow-me-home lights.
The new Honda City is the first car in India to feature Alexa remote compatibility.
Safety-wise, it comes with Honda’s unique Lane Watch camera. It has also six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Agile Handling Assist, Hill Start, ISOFIX, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, multi-angle rear camera, and more.
Mechanically, it retains the same 119 bhp 1.5 litre i-VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine with 6-speed manual gearbox or CVT, 98bhp 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission.
The petrol manual has a rated fuel efficiency of 17.8 kmpl, while the CVT petrol variants offer 18.4 kmpl. The diesel one gives an economy of 24.1 kmpl.
