Bhubaneswar: Sports Hostel Bhubaneswar emerged champions in the All-Odisha Inter-Club Weightlifting Championship which concluded on Friday at the Biju Patnaik HPC Weightlifting Hall in Kalinga Sports Complex.
Sports Hostel bagged 12 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze for a total of 21 medals.
Ganjam’s Beer Hanuman Club and Shankar Physical Club finished 1st and 2nd runner-up, respectively.
Beer Hanuman Club took home 22 medals, one more than Sports Hostel, but the former lagged on the gold count (8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze).
Physical Club won 20 medals comprising 4 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze.
Sports & Youth Services Secretary Vineel Krishna presented the trophy to the winning teams at the closing ceremony.
