Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has made elaborate arrangements for holding the annual Matric and Odisha State Open School (OSOS) examinations that will begin from February 19.
The arrangements were finalised at a meeting chaired by BSE president Ramashish Hazra at the Board headquarters here on Friday evening. BSE Secretary Srikant Kumar Tarai and Controller of Examinations Nihar Ranjan Mohanty were also present.
The BSE informed:
—5,47,747 students will appear for the Matric exam at 2767 centres.
—9771 students will appear for the OSOS exam at 76 centres.
—3373 students will appear for the Madhyama exam at 45 centres.
Evaluation centres
— The Board has set up 53 centres for evaluation of Matric papers and four centres each for OSOS and Madhyama papers.
Despatch and evaluation of answer papers
—The Matric, OSOS and Madhya question papers will be kept under tight security at 305, 45 and 45 nodal centres, respectively.
—The question papers will be dispatched to the examination centres with adequate police protection.
—After the examinations, the answer sheets will be kept at the nodal centres.
—The answer sheets will be sent to the evaluation centres in two phases between February 25 and March 1 and between March 3 and March 7.
—The answer sheets will be evaluated between March 18 and April 4.
—Arrangements have been made to send the mark list from the evaluation centres to the Board headquarters office online.
Steps taken to curb malpractice
—The Board has decided to install CCTV cameras in 1000 centres
—Three-tier squads comprising a central squad formed by the Board and two teams by the District Education Officers (DEOs) and the regional offices of the Board.
—The Board has sought cooperation from the Director General of Police (DGP), Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs), district collectors and SPs for the smooth conduct of the examinations.
Admit cards
—The admit card and attendance sheet of the students will be sent to the examination centres on February 8.
—The Board will upload the admit card on its website www.bseodisha.ac.in on February 7.
Examination details
—The Board has uploaded all details regarding the number of students who have filled up the forms for the examination, examination centres, evaluation centres and nodal centres.
—The headmasters of the concerned schools will download the details by using the school code and password.
