Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Thursday refuted the allegations of social science question paper leak and called it as an intentional attempt to disrupt the examination process.
Stating that talks about the circulation of High School Certificate (HSC) examination question paper on social media are rumours, the Minister said,” the question papers are surfacing after the commencement of examination. So, we cannot term it as leak. However, crime branch is investigating the matter.”
The examination concluded today and the results will be announced in May.
Earlier in the day, pictures and videos featuring the question papers of social science subject allegedly went viral on WhatsApp at Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal and Jagatsinghpur districts. The incident was reported an hour after commencement of the examination.
The photographs of the question paper of Science subject were allegedly circulated on WhatsApp in Kamakhyanagar and Anandpur of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
Earlier, MIL (Odia), English and Mathematics subjects were also allegedly found circulated on the social media.
As many as 6, 08, 031 students have appeared for the examination at 2, 818 centres across the state.
The examination began on February 23.
