Bhubaneswar: Alliance Air has cancelled its flight from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela due to technical snag in its aircraft on Wednesday.
According to sources, Alliance Air’s flight from Kolkata landed at Rourkela airport in time and then took off for Bhubaneswar with 48 passengers on board on the day.
Before landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, the landing gear of one of the aircraft’s wheels developed problem. But the flight landed safely and all passengers deboarded safely.
The Alliance Air, in a statement, said the flight from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela and from there to Kolkata has been cancelled due to technical snag.
However, the airlines has not mentioned when the flight to Rourkela would be resumed. It is apprehended that the flight may remain cancelled for a few more days as the repair of the technical problem would take long. At the same time, the airlines has not clarified whether it would make arrangement for another aeroplane for resumption of the services from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela.
