Allotment Of Plots For Bali Jatra In Cuttack Begins; Check Details

Cuttack: The process for allotment of plots for Bali Jatra-2022 in Odisha’s Cuttack city began on Saturday and will continue till October 15.

The allotment of plots for Bali Yatra will be done through an auction for three categories of patrons – premium (over 5,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft), platinum (over 3,000 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft), and gold (over 1,000 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft).

According to a release of district collector’s office, following are the procedure for allotment of plots:

  • Applicants can visit the website www.baliyatra.org / www.cuttack.nic. (An individual/institution can choose a maximum of three plots for allotment and the total area of selected plots must be less than 1000 square feet)
  • The applicant will deposit the initial registration amount of Rs 5000 for each plot through e-payment/demand draft. It will be adjusted against the total amount due from the selected bidder
  • The applicant will attach a copy of the receipt towards the registration amount along with the application form and deposit the same at Barabati Palace, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack between 11 am and 5 pm
  • Selected bidders are required to deposit the entire bid amount for the plots within two days from the day of the auction, failing which, they will be declared ineligible. Their registration amount will be forfeited and an opportunity will be given to the next highest bidder.

The auction process will start on October 19 at a base price of Rs 50 per sq ft. Each subsequent auction call will have an increment value of Rs 51 or multiples of Rs 5. The place and time for the auction will be intimated at the time of registration, stated the release.

Notably, the street vendors will be charged a minimum of Rs 10,00 for being allowed to do business. However, they may be charged higher fees for use of larger space.

It is pertinent to mention here that the registration process for allotment of plots for Bali Jatra began at collector’s conference on September 29 and continued till October 7.
