Mumbai: Rumours about ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun joining politics started doing the rounds on Thursday. Reports suggested that Allu has been planning to foray into politics for a long time.
The actor had even met Prashant Kishor to discuss his political career, claimed a report by RTV.
However, the actor’s team rubbished the rumours and stated that Allu has no plans of joining politics anytime soon.
“We would like to clarify that recent rumours about Mr Allu Arjun entering into politics is entirely false and baseless. We kindly request media outlets and individuals to refrain from spreading unverified information. For accurate updates, please rely on official statements from Allu Arjun’s team. Thank you, Team Allu Arjun,” Allu’s team stated in a press note posted on X.
Speculation was rife about a tiff within the family ever since Allu’s uncle, actor Pawan Kalyan, contested the election in Andhra Pradesh and the actor met his politician friend Silpa Ravi from the opposition party at a rally in Nandyal.
Allu Arjun’s recent outing ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is breaking box-office records.
