New Delhi: Alok Verma is set to become the next director in-charge of Steel Authority of India’s (SAIL) Rourkela Steel Plant.
The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) recommended him for the post after interviewing 12 candidates in its selection meeting held on October 17. Among them, 11 candidates were from SAIL and one from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), according to reports.
Verma is currently serving as SAIL’s Executive Director (Works). He will be appointed as SAIL director in-charge only after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
