Bhubaneswar: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) felicitated Odisha Juggernauts at a glittering ceremony here on Tuesday.
The AM/NS India-backed team won the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho League beating Telugu Yoddhas in a edge-of-the-seat final at Pune on September 4.
“We are extremely happy that the team exhibited brilliant performance during the tournament, in the final and created history by winning the inaugural edition of the league. We are looking forward to more such initiatives for creating a culture of sports in the state. We are thankful to ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India for extending wholehearted and timely support to Odisha Sports Development and Promotion Company (OSDPC) and team Odisha Juggernauts,” said R Vineel Krishna, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Sports and Youth Services, Odisha government.

We are proud of our association with Government of Odisha in this initiative and are highly appreciative of the Sports Department’s efforts to promote such indigenous sports,” said Shingo Nakamura, Deputy Director, HR & Administration, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India.
The team members were felicitated with mementoes by Vineel Krishna and Nakamura in the presence of senior leadership of AM/NS India and senior government officials, followed by a celebratory dinner.
