Sundargarh: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Koira to impart dual system training for Stone Processing Machine Operators.
Part of its CSR initiative, under Skill Development Programme, AM/NS India aims to bring quality improvement in training along with upgrading existing infrastructure, providing industry exposure opportunities to students and staff, and offering industry-oriented add-on courses in Government ITIs to make students industry ready.
The collaboration will increase employment opportunities and career prospects for the students, while practical training at mines area will be beneficial for the industry as the ITI can create skilled professionals for the mining and metal industry.
“AM/NS India is a responsible corporate and we are very happy to be associated with Government ITI Koira. Through active collaboration, we will help in creating a pool of skilled manpower required for mining and metal industries in the region. AM/NS India’s CSR initiatives aim at maximizing the impact of the beneficiaries,” said Dr Vikas Yadvendu, Head CSR, AM/NS India.
