Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 23.72 crore for 114 panchayats in five blocks of four districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,045 projects after interacting with block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 5.50 crore has been earmarked for 240 projects in 26 panchayats of Kesinga block in Kalahandi district, Rs 3.80 crore for 136 projects in 19 panchayats of M Rampur block in Kalahandi district, Rs 5.97 crore for 320 projects in 37 panchayats of Narasinghpur block in Cuttack district, Rs 4.90 crore for 215 projects in 16 panchayats of Kundra block in Koraput district and Rs 3.60 crore for 134 projects in 16 panchayats of Suliapada block in Mayurbhanj district.
So far, a total of Rs 1284.92 crore has been allocated for 52,274 projects in 5,652 panchayats of 255 blocks. Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana has reached more than 260 blocks during which the Chief Minister directly discusses with the villagers and sanctions funds for projects proposed by them.
