Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 28.95 crore for 122 panchayats in six blocks of six districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1077 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 5.75 crore has been earmarked for 123 projects in 23 panchayats of Patrapur block in Ganjam district, Rs 6.15 crore for 178 projects in 25 panchayats of Banta block in Bhadrak district, Rs 4.35 crore for 238 projects in 16 panchayats of the Baranga block in Cuttack district and Rs 4.40 crore for 252 projects in 24 panchayats of the Thuamula-Rampur block in Kalahandi district.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 4.75 crore for 169 projects in 20 panchayats of the Goshani block in Gajapati district and Rs 3.55 crore for 117 projects in 14 panchayats of Biramaharajapur block in Sonepur district.
Naveen advised the people and the block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
Among others, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, MPs, MLAs, Collectors and senior officials of the departments concerened were present.
